This article was mainly about the suspected ex-military chief of Basque separatist group ETA, Garikoitz Aspiazu, who has an alias of Txeroki.  He arrived in Getafe for questioning on September 21, 2009, but was sent back to France the next day because he refused to testify in court.  Spain’s top criminal court had a deadline of September 26, 2009, to question Garikoitz Aspiazu, but they decided to send him back to France after he spoke in Basque stating he would not speak.  However, not only did Garikoitz Aspiazu refuse to testify, he also refused to sign the court notifications.  He had been charged with playing a part in the bomb attack, which took place in the Madrid airport parking lot.  In Paris, a judge charged him with playing a part in killing two undercover Spanish police officers.
